No longer able to self-medicate with alcohol and in a desperate search for escape, a young woman finds herself standing on the edge of the 1 subway platform. She faces the train as it roars into the station, and then faces the consequences as she commits herself to a psych ward in one last attempt to commit to herself.

Sarah’s plays have been produced and/or developed by Kid Brooklyn Productions, Rising Phoenix Rep, Caps Lock Theatre, ESPA at Primary Stages, Fresh Produce’d, the Core Ensemble at the Barrow Group, HB Studios, New River Dramatists. The Gin Baby was developed through the generous support of Kid Brooklyn Productions, Mermaid Sand Productions, Caps Lock Theatre as well as Fresh Produced and The Glass Eye. She is currently working on a commission from Kid Brooklyn Productions, All’s Well That Ends Happy, which will be produced later in 2014 and directed by Evan Caccioppoli. She has another commission from Rising Phoenix Rep to write a play for their Cino Nights series. She just finished working out West with the Kid Brooklyn and Rising Phoenix Rep gang on The Beach Plays, where she and four other playwrights were commissioned to write site-specifically for Ocean Beach in San Francisco.
